Degree of Separation (1997)

Collaboration with Kerri Sakamoto

YYZ, Toronto

An extremely long length of synthetic hair connects two images on adjacent walls. The photographs are of the school classes of 1970-71, and evidence the difference in the cultural milieu we each grew up in: Kerri is from suburban Toronto and I am from Honolulu, Hawai’i.

Room size: 25”w x 25’l x 10’h.

Digital prints, synthetic hair, green paint.
